Sue Ritchie

Sue's work career consisted of eleven years in commercial banking beginning as a bookkeeping file clerk and concluding as a branch bank Manager, the first female Manager in the area in the mid 1960's. Sue left banking to become an agent with New York Life Insurance Company and also earned her real estate license. An economic slowdown some months later, took her from finance into entrepreneurship in communications. Four years later, she sold the business prior to her marriage, and with the arrival of her son, she began the writing career her English/Lit (Literature) teacher urged her to do.

Focusing on personality profiles, she produced 100(+-) articles for local and national publications, and she also created a monthly subscription newsletter published for approximately two years. Sue's published works included the following: Las Vegas Review, Elite Magazine "International", Republic Airlines Magazine, Burlington Free Press Magazine, Employee Assistance Magazine, amongst others.  Sue conceived a story, The Psychic, for Viacom Studios and their TV series of Matlock. For this, Sue received screen credit in her contract with the W.G.A. (Writer's Guild of America / CA). In addition, she created, wrote and co-produced a woman's television program, Images, for the local ABC affiliate.

Then Sue's husband unexpectedly passed, and she was lost.

By spring she realized she was not truly healing and with that awareness, she embarked on a path of spirit and resolved to fully heal.  In the following decade, Sue designed workshops on grief. In 2001, Sue published her book Transformational Bereavement, which was well received on the national market. The first edition sold out early on and although many people strongly encouraged her to reprint the book, she did not want to go backward emotionally. At this time, an internationally well-known M.D. said, "When you reprint your book, I will buy 1,000 copies." Unfortunately, Doubt and Fear are big factors in grief, therefore she did not reprint the book for 7-years.

"...insightful and empowering..."

"...beautifully written..."
